Daily Pawsitivity
Effective September 7, 2026
These are the terms you agree to when you use Pawsitivity. SelfWell operates Pawsitivity. We've kept them short and in plain language, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.
Pawsitivity helps you notice how you're doing, wind down in the evening, and build a gentle daily habit. That is all it claims to do.
It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or mental health condition, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. Nothing in the app — including the written reflections, the coach's suggestions, and anything you see after answering our check-in questions — is medical advice, and none of it should be used to decide whether to seek, continue, or stop treatment.
If you're asked questions about how you've been feeling, that's so the app has a starting point to compare against later. Your answers are not a diagnosis and are never presented as one.
Pawsitivity does not detect crises. It cannot tell when you are in danger, and it will not alert anyone on your behalf. If you are in crisis, or thinking about harming yourself, please contact emergency services or a crisis line right now — in the US, call or text 988; anywhere, find a helpline at findahelpline.com. If someone is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.
You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live sets a higher age for agreeing to terms like these on your own. If you're under that age, please don't use the app — and if we learn that an account belongs to someone under it, we'll remove it.
By using Pawsitivity you confirm that you meet the age requirement and that you're agreeing to these terms for yourself.
You can use Pawsitivity as a guest or sign in with Google or Apple. Guest sessions live on the device you created them on: if you clear your browser data, uninstall the app, or switch devices without linking an account first, that progress is gone and we can't recover it. Linking a Google or Apple account is how you keep it.
Keep your sign-in secure — anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
Your moods, notes, gratitude entries, intentions, photos and everything else you write stay yours. We don't claim ownership of them.
You give us permission to store and process your content only to run the app for you — syncing it across your devices, generating the optional written reflections, and keeping the service working. We don't sell it, we don't advertise against it, and we don't share your entries with other people. The privacy policy covers this in detail.
Please don't use Pawsitivity to store anything unlawful, or to harass anyone through the friends features.
You can stop using Pawsitivity whenever you like, and you can delete your account and entries from inside the app: Settings → Profile → Your data → Delete my data. Deletion is permanent — we can't bring it back.
We may suspend or end an account that's being used to break these terms, to harm someone, or to abuse the service.
Pawsitivity is provided "as is." We work hard on it, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that the reflections it writes will always be useful to you. To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app.
Pawsitivity is free, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to it is limited to the amount you have paid us for it. If a court decides that limit can't be applied, our liability is instead limited to the smallest amount the law does allow.
Nothing here limits any rights you have under the law where you live that can't be limited by agreement — including, in some places, rights that can never be waived.
If someone brings a claim against us because of something you did with Pawsitivity — what you wrote, how you used the friends features, or a breach of these terms — you agree to cover the costs we reasonably incur defending it, including legal fees. We'll tell you promptly if that happens, and you're welcome to take over the defense yourself.
Please email hello@dailypawsitivity.com first. Almost everything is faster to fix that way, and we'd rather hear from you than from a court.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute we can't settle between us will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and we each agree to those courts' jurisdiction.
If the law where you live gives you the right to have your own consumer-protection law apply, or to bring a claim closer to home, that right stands — this section doesn't take it away from you.
